HotCity is always seeking new board members! Being a board member is the best way to become intimately involved with, and help grow our company.
HotCity requires an active, positive, and involved board of directors to oversee, collaborate with and execute a successful artistic and business plan. The current board of directors meet approximately once every two months, and take on various roles for the company, from accounting, law advice, fund-raising, and marketing.
HotCity relies on volunteers to execute all aspects of the company. The board of directors are considered the ultimate volunteers that the staff looks to for advice and help when making major changes to the company, analyzing needs, developing goals, and push the theatre forward.
A board member can make as much of the position as they wish, from simply offering financial and oversight help, to planning fundraisers and volunteering time with different events throughout the year. Board members are invited to all production functions including rehearsal, auditions, and fundraisers, as they are the heart of the company.
For those people interested in theatre, the benefits are endless, and the only requirements are a financial contribution to the company, attendance to meetings, and an interest in what we are trying to accomplish.
